The term microsampling in Analytical Chemistry has evolved in recent years, from the simple original meaning of referring to the analysis of small amounts of samples to a more complex concept, which also includes the analysis of micro/nanostructures such as nanoparticles, cells, or microplastics.

This presentation will discuss both approaches, in the case of elemental and isotopic analysis, and presents concrete applications of how these strategies can help in the clinical setting, with the help of artificial intelligence, improving the diagnosis and follow-up of some pathologies such as Wilson’s disease. The presentation will be in Campus Río Ebro (Ed. Torres Quevedo – Sala de Grados) on April 19th, 2023. It will be also available in Youtube.
